A Step-by-Step Guide to Creating your Success  Moving Up

As we enter 2020 I wanted to share some ideas on how you can personally become a Rockstar and develop a team of Rock stars. Great employees are valuable. I am taking the focus of this newsletter from my book Moving Up and wanted to share with you. As a New Year’s Gift, I am giving you a free download through January 31 of this year.

In today’s market place your business has to be distinctive, innovative, original, and command results.  I want you and your employees to believe in yourself., take your goals seriously, and work toward making your dreams in both career and life a reality. There are always opportunities to improve your skills set and move up.

I developed the training program Moving Up and this book because I believe one of the toughest obstacles, we face is many employees do not try. They have a ceiling of cement 6 feet deep over their heads.  They believe they are the wrong sex, wrong age. wrong color, wrong education, wrong parents and wrong environment.  Do not limit yourself. No endeavor is too massive, no distance is too far, and no height is too high.

To be successful, you have to do what successful people do. They get things done. Successful people believe. They are dedicated and focused.

I have had written goals since I was 21 years old. Your goals need to be written down and, in a place, to view daily. The road to success is a process. Someone at your organization or in your section or in your group is going to get promoted. They will get that raise that will make all the difference for them and their family. I want you and your team to stand out. To be considered extraordinary. Self-confidence is Power.

Resistance is everywhere. Self-imposed limitations are the biggest barriers to your success, Success begins in the mind.

Employees with well-defined goals stand out within any organization. Set reachable and measurable goals. Hazy goals produce hazy results. When I was 22 my net worth was $2,170. I set a goal to become a millionaire by age 30. I did it. I grew up poor and did not like it. I was hungry for success.

Set goals in all areas of your life.

Physical/Health Goals: My most difficult goal is losing weight. My goal for 2020 is to weigh 173 pounds. On January 2 I weighed 192 pounds. Become well rounded.

Financial Goals: What is your income and investment goals for the year.
Family goals: What are your goals for your spouse and children.
Spiritual Goals:  Ethics and values are critical in today’s environment.
Mental/Educational Goals: What are your goals to improve yourself.
Social Goals:  Critical to your success.

Six rules to writing goals:

Make sure the goal is something you truly want.
  2. Write the goal in a positive tone.
Be specific about your goal
  4. Place a time frame on your goal
  5. Make the goal measurable
The goal must be realistic.

The most valuable asset you and your employees have is your mind. If you develop extraordinary and indispensably employees… the world is yours!
